Okato Shoji established in Kitahama, Higashi-ku, Osaka City
January 1971
Acquired authorization as Futures Commission Merchant at participating exchanges from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries(MAFF) and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry(MITI)
March 1972
Obtained associate membership in the Sydney Futures Exchange, launching efforts to internationalize operations
April 1973
Began marketing gold bullion upon liberalization of regulations governing gold and gold article imports
March 1982
Began trading in gold on commission upon establishment of the Tokyo Gold Exchange (presently known as the Tokyo Commodity Exchange)

Launched on-line trading system at all offices
